On Tuesday Mississippi State added a verbal commitment from Callaway (Ms.) High School's James Williams.
Williams is rated as Mississippi's third best prospect and No. 41 on the list of the nation's top defensive tackles. He's a 5.7 three-star recruit by Rivals.
"The fact that I know I can come in right away and play was a factor in my decision. I also feel at home in Starkville," Williams told The Clarion-Ledger.
In his first five games this season Williams has 58 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, 21 quarterback hurries and two sacks.
Callaway head coach Darius Brown has said Williams has unlimited potential. "James is a big, powerful and athletic DT/DE. He plays inside and outside at the same high level," Brown previously old BigGoldNation.com.
Williams is the 25th commitment in Mississippi State's 2018 class, which is currently ranked No. 12 in the Rivals Team Rankings.
