Earlier in the week, Mississippi State offered a scholarship and invited Holmes County (Miss.) cornerback Terrell Johnson Jr. for an official visit.

The late work paid off on Sunday.

Just before he left that visit, Johnson gave the Bulldogs his commitment.

Johnson didn't have many offers, but Mississippi State had seen enough to offer based on his recent camp performance. He also had FBS offers from UNLV, Louisiana-Monroe and Jacksonville State.
