White clinches World Series

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Team White jumped out to a 6-0 lead and went on to notch a series-clinching 8-3 win over Team Maroon in the fall practice-ending Maroon-White World Series at Dudy Noble Field.
The Bulldogs conclude fall practice with Sunday's series finale scheduled for a 1 p.m. CST start. The game is open to the public.

Junior righty Evan Mitchell picked up the win, scattering six hits with two runs allowed over his 5-2/3-inning start. Sophomore Jonathan Holder worked a scoreless ninth to hold the lead.
Tyler Fullerton drew a bases-loaded walk to start the game's scoring in the second inning and later singled and scored a run off Maroon starter Chad Girodo during a four-run burst in the fifth inning. Hunter Renfroe lashed a two-run single in the frame as Team White pounded out five of its 12 hits in the inning.
C.T. Bradford got the Maroons on the scoreboard with a two-out, two-run single in the sixth and Zack Randolph singled in a run an inning later.
Adam Frazier, Hunter Renfroe, Tyler Fullerton, Sam Frost and Hunter Renfroe collected a pair of hits each for the White squad while Jacob Robson, Demarcus Henderson and Nick Flair lashed two hits apiece for the Maroons.
