The 2020-21 preseason ACC Player of the Year has a new home.
After it became public that former University of North Carolina F Garrison Brooks intended to enter the transfer portal, the instant "fit" that made a ton of sense was Mississippi State.
Brooks, who will now get the chance to finish his career playing for Ben Howland, George Brooks, (his father) and the rest of the staff, was rated as the Nation's 123rd best player back in the 2017 class. He originally signed with the Bulldogs before being released from his NLI months later.
Now destined for Starkville, Brooks averaged 10.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. He is a 53% shooter for his career, and just over 60% from the free throw line.
