Tomlinson plans visits

During the spring period, 2012 defensive tackle prospect Dalvin Tomlinson took several trips to check out SEC and ACC campuses among other visits. Although his summer schedule has been somewhat light, they may change later this month.
"Things have been going pretty good," said the 6-foot-2 and 270-pound Tomlinson. "I have only been to camps at Alabama and Indiana so far. Both of those camps went well and I had a good time at both of those camps.

"I hope to get down to visit more colleges but I am not sure which ones yet. I would like to get back down to Mississippi State for their Big Dawg Camp, and also go to Georgia Tech. I will most likely also go to Florida and back down to Alabama, too."
While Tomlinson's camp schedule has not been that hectic, that doesn't mean he hasn't been busy preparing for his senior year. Last year as a junior Tomlinson recorded 86 tackles and 11 quarterback sacks and looks to do even more this fall.
"I have been mostly working with my hip movements and my hand movements and my quickness," said Tomlinson. "Our coaches have a lot of drills to help us with our hip flexability and to help us get off the ball quicker."
Back to recruiting, Tomlinson owns nearly three dozen offers and most of the SEC programs have already offered him. Owning so many options, Tomlinson said he plans to trim his list in the near future.
"As far as having a favorite, I don't have one so far," said Tomlinson. "I am trying to narrow down my list right now and I hope to have that done by the end of July. I will probably decide towards the end of my senior season and I am not really in a rush at all."
While Tomlinson holds no leader, he does note of the factors that will determine his final choice.
"Academics is the number one factor," said Tomlinson. "And then finding a great defensive line coach that I can communicate with is another big factor. I also want to be around players that will push me hard to help me get to that next level."
