Time to say goodbye...

Our lives are full of changes and starting Monday I will begin a new chapter in mine.
At midnight my contract will expire marking the end of my time as publisher of BulldogBlitz.com.

I wanted to take a few minutes to thank each and every one of you who have supported me and my family over the last five years whether it be for my full tenure with Rivals.com or only a month. I am so appreciative that you have allowed me to bring Mississippi State news into your homes each day.
This job has truly been a dream come true. When I decided to get into this line of work my goal was to cover at least one game at Davis Wade Stadium, Humphrey Coliseum and Dudy Noble Field. This position has allowed me to live out that dream on a daily basis and has truly been a pleasure.
But there are simply times to move on. It is bittersweet to walk away from something I have devoted the past five years to but at the same time I am equally excited about the possibilities that the future holds. While I am unsure where I will end up, it will be nice to be able to leave the house and not worry if some teenager will decide to make a commitment or de-commitment at any given moment.
I have so many wonderful memories during my tenure here and I would also like to thank all of the coaches and student-athletes that have allowed me to cover their recruitment and college careers. I hope that I have been able to do so fairly and accurately. I also leave with my journalistic integrity intact which is often difficult to do in this line of work. I may not have always been first with news but nothing I reported had to be retracted due to inaccuracies.
Another thing that I take great pride in is that no other media member or outlet covered more Mississippi State sporting events than I did for BulldogBlitz.com over the last five years. I have covered so many unforgettable moments in school history and it may only be fitting that my final game saw the Bulldogs playing for a national championship.
Lastly, I would like to thank Yahoo and Rivals.com for the opportunity they gave me. In 2008 they believed in a young local writer and at 25-years old made me one of the youngest publishers in company history. They have provided me with an outlet to share my work with millions of readers. I wanted to thank all of the people working behind the scenes - past and present - at Rivals.com that have helped me over the years.
Rivals.com has been a first class company to work for and I wish the new publisher and staff of BulldogBlitz.com the best of luck. I hope that I have left the site in better shape than I found it and hope that it will continue to grow and flourish.
I have a few more stories to tell during my final hours but wanted make all of the subscribers aware of my pending departure.
Sincerely,
Logan Lowery
