Summers to be a Bulldog!

The Bulldogs may have hit the in-state recruiting circuit late, but when they started, they came in with a vengeance. While the Olive Branch quintuplet had been rumored to be heading to one school together, four-star athlete Anthony Summers decided to buck the system and head to another, and Mississippi State is the beneficiary of that decision.
"I committed to State," commented the 6-foot-2, 200-pound athlete. "I did it today. I committed to the head coach when he was over here (during an in-home visit tonight).

"They just fit me good and it is about that time. It is a new year and I have had all this time to think about it. They are growing really and I have a chance to come in and help them win a few games.
"It is right here at home and it is a program I feel I can fit into." While several Olive branch players are teetering on qualifying marks, Summers said he has made the grade and will come in as a safety, a position he feels good about playing.
He had three visits planned this month, in addition to MSU on the 27th, but those are now questionable.
"They are all canceled, I guess," he said. "I don't plan to take any more visits."
Anthony's brother Markeith had recently announced that he didn't want to go to State. Did that have any influence on his decision?
"It was just my decision, and he had to make his," he said. "I made the decision on my own."
