Preston, 6-foot-1 200 pounds, chose MSU after receiving over 20 offers from universities throughout the country.

Academics and his relationship with the staff are two reasons Preston cited for choosing the Bulldogs.

He added that he is 100% sure of his decision and will be closing his recruitment.

Preston becomes the 13th commitment in the 2018 class for Mississippi State and Rivals currently ranks the class as No. 37 in the nation.

He's currently rated a 5.5 three-star prospect and the No. 55 overall prospect on the Rivals.com Louisiana Post-Spring Top 60 for the 2018 class.
