Redmond talks MSU visit

During the month of March, Memphis East High School's Will Redmond took in his initial Mississippi State experience and attended the Bulldogs' initial junior day. On Thursday, the rising senior defensive back was back on campus and experienced a better view of the program.
"When I went to junior day, we talked a lot about academics and watched the basketball game," said the 6-foot and 180-pound Redmond. "And that was about it. But today was way better and it gave me a better look at Mississippi State. It went great and I really liked it. The coaches told me they would love to have me at Mississippi State and that Starkville is where my home should be."

And Redmond added he got to see more of the MSU campus during today's visit.
"It was good being there with the coaches," said Redmond. "I already knew the coaches pretty well but today I also got to see the atmosphere of the campus and it was great. They have new dorms and new facilities going up on campus. It definitely seemed like a place that would fit me well."
Redmond owns offers from Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Clemson, Purdue and Virginia among others. And in the coming days, he will see a few more schools on his list.
"I am going to Memphis tomorrow, Vanderbilt on Sunday and then Tennessee on Monday and Tuesday," said Redmond. "Then I am also going to see Notre Dame, Florida State, Miami, Clemson, North Carolina and Ole Miss sometime this summer if I can."
And his recent MSU visit has Redmond very fond of the Bulldogs, and he said he wants to visit more places to help him possibly make a summer decision.
"Mississippi State is definitely in my Top 3 now," said Redmond. "I am not sure who else is in there until after my other visits. But Mississippi State is in there and they are not coming out. I am also looking at Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, North Carolina and Clemson, too. I want to be done by the end of this month with my visits and then make a decision in mid-July."
