No. 5- Poplarville (Miss.) LB Khalid Moore

Mississippi State added their fifth commitment of the 2022 class on Sunday morning when four-star linebacker Khalid Moore went public with his decision to commit to the Bulldogs.

Moore chose the Bulldogs over other offers from Ole Miss, Tulane, Louisana Tech, and several others.

He is rated by Rivals as the No. 9 player in the state of Mississippi for the 2022 class, and is the top-rated linebacker.

Moore becomes commitment No. 4 inside the state, joining fellow four-star Jacarius Clayton, three-star DB Jaterrious Elam, and three-star ATH Dakota Jordan.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

ON WHAT SEPARATED MISSISSIPPI STATE: “The thing that separated State from the other schools is how much constant love they showed me. Texted me every day. Continues to let me know I’m a big priority. Showed me film. Got to meet the whole defensive staff through a zoom call. Even though corona is around they still found ways to talk to me. Which is a big deal to me.”

RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE COACHING STAFF: “It’s great. Talk with most of about everyday. And they are ready to coach and mold me into a better player and better person.”

HIS FIT IN ARNETT’S DEFENSE: “They see me at a San linebacker. Putt pressure on the Qb. Making plays all over the field.”

A VISIT SEALING THE DEAL: “It wasn’t official but me and my parents went up there yesterday. It was all beautiful and loved every second. It helped me make my decision to commit. Got to peek in at the stadium. And got to go into some of the places that’ll help me further my education. “
