Mississippi Sate basketball adds transfer Jalen Johnson

Louisana graduate transfer Jalen Johnson will soon join the Mississippi State basketball team and be immediately eligible. The 6-foot-7 205-pound forward led Louisana with 15.5 points per game in the 2019-2020 season. He was also the Ragin' Cajun's leading rebounder.

Johnson will have one year of eligibility remaining when he arrives in Starkville. He previously played two seasons at St. Louis.

The Baton Rouge native prepped at Baton Rouge's University Lab School and helped the Cubs to three straight Louisiana Class 3A state championships. He was named the Louisiana Class 3A Outstanding Player of the Year as a senior.
