Lewis one step closer

It has been a long time coming, but after two years of sitting out of football, James Lewis has taken a big step in being cleared to play football, and plans to suit up for the Bulldogs this spring. How does he feel about reaching his goal?
"I'm cleared!" he commented excitedly Monday afternoon, after receiving his test results. "I had to wait until today to get them, but I got a 25! It just has to go through the Clearinghouse, but everything should be okay.

"I will enroll next week, so I can go through spring practice. I called coach Holliday and everything."
After failing to qualify out of high school, Lewis spent another year working on core courses, and then signed with Colorado. After falling just short on the ACT again, he has worked out on his own for the last semester, while continuing to focus on his ACT.
"It feels good to finally be able to be back on the field again," he stated.
A former Los Angeles player of the year as a receiver, rumors have been running rampant that he will be moved once he gets to campus, due to the fact that he has added a lot of weight. While unsure of his status, it really doesn't matter to him.
"I am still hearing wide receiver, but I really don't care," he said. "I am just ready to get out there."
