Jones flips from Sooners to Bulldogs

On April 16, Jarrian Jones announced his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners. The minute that announcement was made, Lincoln Riley knew he was going to have to fight for this one.

Jones is a star out of Mississippi and he had always been high on the Mississippi State Bulldogs and on Saturday, he publicly flipped his commitment to the in-state school.

"I have flipped to Mississippi State," said Jones. "I have been thinking on this for about two weeks now. When I committed to Oklahoma, Mississippi State was right there close in the running.

"I have taken two silent visits up to Mississippi State recently and it just sealed the deal for me."

It seems this commitment is it for the top 20 Mississippi talent. His mind seems a little more made up this time.

"This commitment does feel different. I know for sure everyone around me is happy about this decision.

"Mississippi State is home. My parents love it. My parents love it and I get to stay home and just grind it out with other 'Sip' boys. Whenever I go there I feel like I play for them already."

He is going to start recruiting right away.

"I am going to be on all the Sip boys," said Jones. "Nathan Pickering, Dannis Jackson, Jonathan Mingo, Jarrian Ealy, Diwun Black (Ole Miss commit), Nakobe Dean and others. I will also recruit Chester Kimbrough from Louisiana."
