Green looking for new offers

Northwest Rankin is looking to be one of the best teams in Mississippi Class 6A this year. The Cougars have a lot of talent at several positions.
In the defensive backfield, they have a big time safety in Nigel Green. Green has attended several camps lately and is looking for a chance to play Division I football.

With one offer in hand, Green is hoping that a couple of schools offer him soon. He has performed well at several camps and keeps everything in perspective.
"I have been to camps at Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Alabama, UAB, Southern Miss and Big Dawg Camp at MSU," Green said. "I have an offer from Northwestern State but there are some other schools I want one from as well."
At Big Dawg Camp, Green was very impressed with the players he went against. Another thing that caught his eye was that the coaches knew who he was right off the bat.
"The competition was awesome," Green said. "I think I did very well against those players. I had a very good forty time. I did very well in the drills and in the one-on-ones. Coach (Melvin) Smith came up to me and talked to me. He knew who I was and that was big to me."
Green has three school he is looking at hard and in the end hopes to end up at one of them. While he says he is waiting to see what happens, those three are definitely his leaders.
"My only offer right now is Northwestern State so they would for sure be one of my favorites," Green said. "But I also really like Mississippi State and Louisiana-Lafayette. They are my top two. I think ULL is my number one because Coach (Mark) Hudspeth says they are about to offer. But things could change. I am going to make my decision on my Senior Night. I will take a few visits, but once I make up my mind I am a man of my word."
