Farmer attends Big Dawg Camp

Harrison Central (Miss.) offensive lineman Brandon Farmer is a name that is picking up some steam on the recruiting trail.
With one offer in hand(Louisiana-Lafayette), Farmer has been working hard to add more. He was invited to the Big Dawg Camp at Mississippi State and got to prove himself against some of the South's best.

Getting to match his talents against some very good defensive lineman was something that Farmer was excited to do. While he had some good feedback, Farmer wasn't happy with his performance.
"I know I can do a lot better than I did," Farmer said. "Yeah, there were some great players there but I know I can hang with them. But it was a great experience playing against all those big name guys."
Farmer was happy to see his recruiting coach, but reports it was great to work with all of the MSU coaches. Getting the chance to learn from SEC coaches was something he says he can during his senior season.
"I got to catch up with Coach (Les) Koenning," Farmer said. "He is a great guy. He told me that I am someone that they are looking at and someone they want to see a lot more. He said I am a great player and a great person and that's exactly the kind of player they are looking for at MSU. I also got to work with Coach (John) Hevesy and that was a great experience. I learned a lot of stuff I can use during the season."
When it comes time to make a decision, Farmer will look at all his options. But he also reports he is in no hurry for that to happen.
"I will sit down with my folks and think about everything," Farmer said. "I will take some time and examine all my options. MSU is for sure someone I like a lot. It will all depend on the offers I have and whether and when I receive them as to when I make a decision."
