"I am hearing from Georgia, Mississippi State, Wake Forest, Western Kentucky, Auburn, Central Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech," said Covington. "What I am really looking for is a school that offers and has what I want to major in - computer technology or atmospheric technology."
Covington had the chance to visit one of the schools he really likes recently.
"I attended the Mississippi State junior day and I had a great time," said Covington. "I really loved the campus and everything about it. I can really picture myself playing there. We got to tour the all the athletic facilities and that was so cool. I dont know if you remember or not, but that day it rained so hard so we didnt get to see all I wanted to see. So I am definitely wanting to come back again soon."
The Lovejoy lineman also got to meet the coaches at MSU and came away very impressed with one in particular.
"I got to meet Coach (John) Hevesy while I was there," added Covington. "He is a great guy. I know for a fact he is the kind of coach that I want to play for. He can push me to reach all the goals that I have set for myself and make me the best offensive lineman that I can be."
Covington finished his junior season with quite a few accolades. He was named first-team all region, first-team All- Southern Crescent, The Rising Senior-Junior Bowl, and the A/B Honor Roll. He finished the season with 48 pancakes and graded out at 92 percent for the year.
