Commitment date set for four-star forward Robert Woodard

Robert Woodard, a four-star forward in the 2018 class, will make his college commitment Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. A 6-foot-6 senior that can play a variety of positions, Woodward is considering three schools.

Mississippi State, Alabama and Memphis remain the most involved with the Mississippi native. Woodard has been to each of the three campuses a handful of times, though Memphis is the only program to have hosted him for an official visit, a trip that took place on the weekend of Nov. 3.

Someone that can play either forward position, Woodard, thanks to his 6-foot-11 wingspan and chiseled body, is best used as a small ball power forward. He averaged 14.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer.

The son of Robert Woodard Sr., a former standout at Mississippi State, the Bulldogs have remained involved since day one. Alabama was once considered the clear frontrunner for him during the spring and summer months where Memphis has gained major traction from August up until now.
