Coman ready for July

Earlier this month, Florence (Ala.) rising senior Kivon Coman left a solid impression on the Mississippi State coaching staff due to his camp performance. As expected, that news trickled down the pipeline to other nearby schools concerning the talent of the defensive back prospect.
"I've been hearing from some other schools since the Mississippi State camp," said Coman. "I've heard from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn and UAB and they all told me that they heard how well I've been doing this summer. So that was a good thing."

The 6-foot-1 and 185-pound Coman currently owns offers from South Florida, Arkansas State and South Alabama. He was scheduled to visit South Florida this month but that visit has since been pushed back to next month. And it will be one of a few trips for Coman in the month of July.
"I haven't been to any camps since I went to Mississippi State," said Coman. "I was going to South Florida but now I will see them later on in July. We also have a team camp at Alabama A&M next month, too."
And Coman said he expects to cap off his summer camp rounds with a return trip to Starkville and will compete in the Big Dawg Camp on July 22nd.
"I will definitely be at the Big Dawg Camp," said Coman. "I am going to do my best like I did last time so I can keep my name out there with them. I talk to them almost every day and they said they are going to likely offer me. I hope I do well again and that an offer comes at the Big Dawg Camp."
Since his first MSU camp visit, Coman has not been shy about his fondness of the Bulldogs' program and an eventual offer would be music to his ears.
"Mississippi State is still the place I want to go to," said Coman. "I've always wanted to go there since I started playing high school football. It just feels like home when I am there and most importantly, they are like one big family there."
