Christy looking at big schools

One of the top wide receivers in the south next year will be Dutchtown (La.) wideout Shelby Christy. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound 2013 prospect has been working very hard to get his name out there. With several schools looking at him already, Christy named five schools as his early leaders.
Christy's top five looks like a who's who of college football. With those schools standing out to him, Christy is more focused than ever to make sure that he does what he can to make college coaches take notice of him this year.

"I have received mail from Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Texas A&M," Christy said. "I really like those five schools because they like me. I will be interested in whoever is interested in me. I am a possession type wide receiver but I also can burn you deep with my speed. If the ball is thrown in my directions, I always go get it."
Christy is making sure that he works hard this season to impress those five schools. He knows putting in all the hard work now will pay off for him big time in the near future.
"I want to show those schools that I can take over a game," Christy said. "I want them to see me as the type of player that can control a game from start to finish. I want to work on my breaks and my routes and work on being the most explosive players that I can be."
Mississippi State has already sent Christy some information to express their interest. Christy was very happy to hear from the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs style of play is what sticks out to Christy the most.
"I love the way that MSU plays," Christy said. "They never quit and they play hard on every single play. They are a very focused football team and a team I will watch close this year. I love the style of play that they play as well. I think I am taylor made for the spread offense."
