West Point (Miss.) athlete Marcus Murphy announced on Twitter on Tuesday that he was decommitting from Mississippi State.

The three-star 2018 prospect committed to the Bulldogs back in May, but after receiving a Michigan offer, which was his second scholarship offer, he is obviously rethinking his recruitment.

With Murphy being an in-state prospect and things being very early in his recruitment, the Bulldogs still have plenty of time to earn his commitment again.

Murphy is rated as the No. 34 athlete and as the No. 5 recruit in the state of Mississippi for the class of 2018.
