Bulldogs add JUCO receiver No. 2

Coach Croom had stated that MSU intended to add two JUCO receivers to the class of 2006 and after the pledge of Ryan Mason a few weeks back, all eyes turned toward Miss. Gulf Coast's Tony Burks. Burks cleared those thoughts on who would fill the remaining slot today when he called the MSU coaches and told them he was a Bulldog!
"I committed to Mississippi State," he said. "I called coach Holliday and coach Croom about 30 minutes ago.

"It was just the coaches up there and they are a young team and I plan on going up there and taking my experience. I plan on going up there and help turning things around."
Burks plans to sign on Wednesday, the first day JUCO players are allowed to sign. He will be eligible to enroll at MSU in January, thus allowing him to participate in spring practices.
Burks makes the second first-team all-state JUCO wide receiver to commit to the Bulldogs in the last several weeks.
