Bull makes 15!

With slots running out quick and with more expected to make the jump soon, Water Valley LB Antonio Hoskins decided to make sure he had a place and recently ended his recruitment by giving his pledge to the Bulldogs. He makes No. 15 in a year that sees State with limited numbers.
"It was a couple of weeks ago," commented Water valley coach Trent Hammond on his 6-foot-2, 212-pound star. "Tony had talked to coach Grimes and all and then he's been watching them in their upswing in their play and all that.

"We went over the Mississippi State a couple of weeks ago and I think just kind of the atmosphere. He had never been over there to a game before. He really likes coach Croom. He says coach Croom talks about all the things we talk about here with our football team and Bull just really likes the man."
Hoskins had recently missed some time on the field with a knee injury, but Coach Hammond said it was more of a precautionary measure than anything.
"Basically it is just an MCL sprain and he is back to 100 percent now," he explained. "Last week was his first game back. He had a mild MCL sprain and we held him back from some the early non conference games.
"That was a coaching decision because we had a couple of kids with some ACL tears and things like that that had ended their seasons in the backfield, and with our depth we wanted somebody that could play when we got to district games. We are team of 44 kids with 25 of them being ninth graders. We start seven ninth graders on defense."
Hoskins makes the 15th confirmed pledge on the year, with No. 16 expected tomorrow afternoon.
