Brunson Draws SEC Looks

Joseph Brunson is a kid that sticks out in a crowd. The 6-foot-4 and 295-pound offensive lineman from Ruston(La.) High School is making the junior day tour and is starting to look for a place where he can stand out on the gridiron as well.
To say that Joseph is drawing interest is an understatement.

"I am hearing from Mississippi State, LSU, Texas A & M, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Missouri, La. Tech, ULM, Rice, Tulane, and Louisiana-Lafayette," said Brunson. "I know for a fact that I am going to go back to camps at MSU, LSU, A&M, and ULL."
Joseph is pretty set on what it will take to get his attention on the recruiting trail.
"I really want to fit into the environment off of the football field," Brunson noted. "I would also like to stay close enough to home that my parents can drive to see me play. I just want to go somewhere where I fit in off the field."
Concerning Mississippi State, Joseph was very impressed with what he saw at the Bulldogs' junior day.
"Well, first off they are in the SEC," said Brunson. "The SEC draws your interest because it's the best conference. I also really liked Starkville. It reminded me a lot of Ruston and was a town I feel like I can fit in well.
"Plus I got to know Coach (John) Hevesy, who is also my recruiting coach. I can see myself playing for him. He is a big ol' dude. He took the time to answer all the questions that I had and that was really cool to me. I can't wait to get back down there and see him again."
