Brandon LB Looking at Options

Brandon linebacker Ken Griffith (6-3, 240, 4.8) had committed to Mississippi State earlier this year, but after looking at the Bulldogs’ depth chart, has begun to reevaluate his decision. Although State is still in the picture, another school has made a move for his services.

"I have thought about it a lot, and I kind of...changed my mind...about going to school at State." Did he decommit? "I guess, if that is what you call it. I mean they got a lot of players in there like Marvin Birdsong and Jason Clark. They are deep there.
"I didn’t tell them the night they came (for an in-home visit), but...it is just what I am going to do. It has been kind of crazy. It’s been stressful. I feel better now, because I’ve done made my decision. I’ll let them know next time I talk to them."
Another school has made up some ground on the Clarion Ledger Dandy Dozen player. "I am just waiting to see, but Southern Miss is in there high," he said. He also added that he hasn’t met with any of the new Bulldog coaching staff. "It might make a difference," he commented.
Ken was scheduled to take a visit to Southern Miss last weekend, but was unable to take the trip because he had not taken the ACT. He took the test last Saturday, so he will be able to schedule visits soon.
