The 6-foot-4, 279-pounder visited Mississippi State for nearly every home game this season.
Mississippi State offered Gooden early on in his junior season, and the Bulldogs have made him a big priority in their 2016 class.
"(Mississippi State is) just waiting on me to be a Bulldog," Gooden told BulldogBlitz.com in October. "They want me to take my time and make sure I go hard in the book and on the field, but they're just waiting on me to be a Bulldog."
Gooden went on record on December 2nd saying that LSU and Mississippi State are his final two schools.
"I talk to LSU and Mississippi State coaches every day," he told TigerBait.com, the LSU Rivals affiliate.
Gooden is rated as the No. 19 strongside defensive end in the nation.
