2024 Grenada DL Aaron Travis discusses new offer, horseback riding

2024 Grenada defensive lineman Aaron Travis received his first offer from Mississippi State last week, and the first thing he wanted to talk about was his love for horses.

When college coaches first meet Travis, they are going to fall in love with his bright personality.

Travis is a 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, strong side defensive end who is very aggressive in the trenches. The same strength he uses to rope horses, he uses on the field to handle those big offensive linemen. There's no secret that Mississippi State knows how to recruit good defensive linemen. Travis is honored to receive an offer from the Bulldogs.

"Having an offer from Mississippi State feels great," said Aaron Travis. "I'm still taking it all in. I'm still getting used to this whole recruiting process thing. It's all new to me."

Travis says his love for horses came a few years ago. It is one of his favorite extracurricular activities outside of football and school.

"Yes sir, I love horses," said Travis. "I started late, but I been in the life for about three years and that’s one of my best decisions I have made. I love roping and the way horses move cutting and reining wise. What stood out the most with me was the bond I made with that nag and the friendship."

Aaron Travis is a lot to deal with on the line. He always plays with a lot of energy and he does not slack up when he is tired.

"During the off-season I plan to work on my strength and speed. Those are some attributes I want to improve. Coaches love my high motor and body frame. That's something to build on."
