The sudden passing of Mississippi State coach Mike Leach on Monday night leaves a giant hole in college football and many of the Bulldogs top targets woke up on Tuesday morning to the sad news and shared their reactions or their parents did.

“He was a great coach. He was very down to earth , very smart and he was funny and would make you laugh.”

"My prayers go out to the family and team. Even though I was never coached by him, the few times I have spoken with him he was a nice guy. I know he will be missed a lot."

“I spoke to him last week. He is a good person. That was my first time talking to him, and he was very productive and told me a lot of things I could do to get to the next level”

“First thing to come to my mind when I think of Coach Leach is how at home he made me feel everytime in Starkville. He always made me and my mom laugh everytime we were in his office and he will always be remembered in my household.”
