Four-star QB Jalen Mayden commits to Mississippi State

Mississippi State picked up a very important commitment on Tuesday night as four-star quarterback Jalen Mayden announced for the Bulldogs.

Mayden is the Rivals.com No. 11 dual-threat quarterback in the country and the No. 29 in Texas Preseason Top 100 for the 2018 class.

In his junior season he passed for 2,840 yards and 22 touchdowns and added 632 yards and 11 touchdowns rushing. He was named the District 10-6A All-District Offensive MVP and was elected All-District First Team Offense.

Mayden said he chose Mississippi State for the family atmosphere and the felt the staff was building a championship contender.
