“The Mississippi State signee has always been a tantalizing prospect from a pure athletic standpoint, but he used his senior season to develop and blossom as a tight end. He capped off the year with one of the best performances of his career in the state championship game. His combination of size and playmaking ability is rare to find and he could be star in Starkville.” – Woody Wommack, Southeast Recruiting Analyst

“Johnson played in a small town in Mississippi, so not too many saw much of him during his high school career, but the Mississippi State commit shined at the Under Armour All-America Game. He was one of the most consistent offensive linemen there, and he looks like he will be a great SEC tackle for the Bulldogs. – Chad Simmons

The 2018 Bulldog class is currently ranked No. 30 by Rivals.
