The flips keep coming, as Mississippi State flips Fla. LB Nic Mitchell

Mississippi State is starting to gain some momentum on the recruiting trail again in the Class of 2021.

After landing a commitment from East Mississippi OL Nicholas Jones over the weekend, the Bulldogs have flipped another after landing Mandarin (Fla.) LB Nic Mitchell, a former Temple commitment.

Mitchell becomes the fourth linebacker in the 2021 class, as well as the second from the state of Florida.

Mike Leach and the rest of his staff now have three commits from the state of Florida, the most currently of any state outside of Mississippi. Texas also has three currently.

Mitchell’s decision to flip comes less than a month after receiving an offer from the staff.

Coach Matt Brock and Coach Zach Arnett were the primary and secondary recruiters for Mitchell, respectively.
