Slay saves the day

Teams have been shying away from Itawamba Community College All-American cornerback Darius Slay all season.
But the Mississippi State commitment stepped up to make key plays to help the Indians win its last two games.

Slay returned a 78-yard punt for a touchdown for a 21-20 win over Mississippi Delta two weeks ago. Last week he made the game-winning tackle in bounds at his own 15-yard line to let time expire in a 27-26 come from behind victory over Coahoma.
So far this season Slay has recorded 24 tackles (18 solo, six assits) as well as returning eight punts for 93 yards and one touchdown.
Itawamba Community College assistant sports information director and friend of BulldogBlitz Adam Gore caught up with Slay following the Indians latest win for this exclusive interview.
