Mondie looking for offer

Offensive lineman Devin Mondie attended a junior day at Mississippi State earlier this year and left with a good impression of the Bulldogs' program. After attending a MSU camp last week, the Memphis Melrose High School rising senior is hoping he left a good impression on the MSU coaches.
"It went good and they said they would be in touch," said Mondie. "They said I performed well and I went against some good guys and did well. Their coaches said they have to evaluate everyone that was at camp and would let me know next week if they may offer me or not. They said they were recruiting me as a guard or as a center."

And Mondie again noted he enjoyed his MSU experience.
"We got to see more of the facilities this time and that was good," said Mondie. "I really like their facilities, too, and their locker rooms. I really like their campus layout and I liked everything I saw."
As next month arrives, Mondie said he has more camps on his summer slate, including more SEC stops.
"Mississippi State was my first camp but I am also going to Arkansas' camp on July 16th," said the 6-foot-4 and 300-pound Mondie. "Then I am also supposed to go to Kentucky and Tennessee next month, too."
Mondie currently holds offers from Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee State and Memphis. Of that group, Mondie said one school was sticking out.
"If I had to say right now then Arkansas State would be my No. 1," said Mondie. "They have shown me the most interest so far. Of the schools that haven't offered, I would say Mississippi State and Tennessee are showing the most interest. There are other Sun Belt schools recruiting me but SEC-wise, Mississippi State and Tennessee are showing me the most interest."
