Lewis heading to LA

After what has been a tumultuous ride, going from Southern California to Texas then signing with Colorado then committing to Mississippi State, James Lewis now at least has some closure. While it may not be the exact move he wanted to make, it is a move in the right direction, and one that may finally land him in D-I football. Lewis has enrolled at a junior college in Los Angeles.
Lewis had struggled academically throughout his effort to make it to the next level, and after making a huge jump on his latest ACT attempt and recording a 25, he felt he had accomplished that goal. That was not to be the case, however.

"They threw out my test score," he said. "I think it was the school, not the NCAA. I am going to West LA Junior College in Los Angeles." Originally from the LA area, it will be a homecoming of sorts.
So how does it feel?
"It hurts, man," he said. "It is not like I haven't ever had to overcome something in my life, though.
"A lot of the players wanted me to play here, and I was going to be one of the best receivers on the team. Everything will be alright in the long run."
After that where does he plan to go?
"Wherever I can," he said.
Good Luck, James!
