Foster is getting back to football

Over the past couple of weeks, Provine (Miss.) junior Dale Foster has been splitting his time between football and track and field. But this week, Foster will shift his duties to "full-time football".
"Things are going good right now," said the 6-foot-4 and 220-pound defensive end. "I was doing the high jump in track so I couldn't practice all the time with football. But this week I will just be full-time football. I am still going to be at defensive end and I look forward to that.

"We want to make a deep run in the postseason and win a championship. Our defense will be the leader of the team and we just want to dominate this year on our side of the ball."
Last fall, Foster was one of the leaders on the Rams' defense and totaled 66 tackles, including 14 tackles for loss and nine sacks. So far this offseason, Foster has focused on adding more weight to his frame with an eye on his collegiate future.
"I have been working on getting bigger," said Foster. "I want to get my weight up so I can play defensive end in college. And that is where all of the schools are recruiting me to play so I know I have to get a bit bigger."
Some of those schools recruiting Foster have made visits to Provine High School this spring, and he is looking to make a few camp stops over the next month or two.
"Ole Miss has been by here this spring and so has Mississippi State and Jacksonville State," said Foster. "I would say Mississippi State is showing me the most interest and they have done so for awhile now. They send me a lot of mail about their camps. Southern Miss is also sending me letters, too.
"I know I am going to make one of Mississippi State's camps this summer. That is the only one I know of right now but I am going to try to make a couple more camps."
