Cook giving Mississippi State a look

2017 offensive tackle Case Cook recently received an offer from Mississippi State, adding yet another to an already to his impressive collection. Earning an offer from Mississippi State was a true honor and an offer that he seems to be excited about.

“It’s a great program and campus,” he replied. “I’ve known the coaches for a long time now because they recruited my brother. I like the way they play and I know you can trust what they say.”

His brother, Cole Cook, was a tight end and committed to NC State in the 2014 recruiting class for the Wolfpack, but he also held an offer from the Bulldogs. Could that bond with the staff early on with Case affect his recruitment in any way?

“No, it doesn’t,” he said. “I am going to narrow things down to three or four schools after spring practice and go from there. Right now, I’m just focused on Carrollton football.”

Coach Gonzales and Coach Hevesy has been the ones recruiting Cook and he is familiar with Coach Sallach and Coach Mullen as well; he admits that he has developed a nice relationship with all of them so far as well.

Mississippi State though isn’t the only school that he has developed a tight relationship, as he continues to hear from programs and talk about several different topics, most of which he keeps between him and the staff.

Cook has several plans this off-season. He recently competed in the Rivals Camp and he plans to check out some more programs that he is interested in. As far as certain visits, he should know more about that after spring practice is over and who comes by his high school.

The Georgia native also has plans on making a decision, while focusing on his game this off-season as well.

“I would like to be done and decide before the season starts in August if I can but I’m not going to rush it if I don’t know," he said.
