The 2009-10 championship season continues at the Creek and the conference is again showing its strength in women's volleyball as nine teams are represented in the national poll.

Meanwhile, at NCAA HQ, senior vice president Jim Isch was named interim president replacing Myles Brand, who succumbed to cancer last week.





UCLA

In women's soccer, the Bruins defeated Missouri to improve to 6-1-1 overall on the year.



USC

In women's soccer, USC received a verbal commitment from 2011 forward Jennifer Gonzalez.



Arizona

In football, tight end Rob Gronkowski is out for the year after undergoing back surgery.



Oregon State

In volleyball, senior outside hitter Rachel Rourke was named as the conference's player of the week.



Oregon

In women's golf, junior Kendra Little broke the school record with a 12-under par 207 in winning the individual title at a golf tournament in New Mexico.



Washington

In football, junior quarterback Jake Locker was named as the quarterback of the week by the Davey O'Brien Foundation.



Arizona State

In men's hoop, the Sun Devils received a verbal commitment from 7-2 Canadian center Jordan Bachynski.



Stanford

In men's soccer, junior midfielder Cameron Lamming was named as the conference's player of the week.



WSU

In soccer, 28th-ranked Wazzu remained on a roll with victories over Texas and Stephen F. Austin to improve to 6-2 overall on the year.

In football, junior running back James Montgomery is out for the season after undergoing surgery for acute compartment syndrome and Wazzu received verbal commitments from defensive back Tyrone Duckett and receiver Bobby Ratliff.



California

In football, junior running back Jahvid Best was named as the conference's offensive player of the week.
