Player/Hometown/High School:Troy Epps Union (S.C.) Union
Hgt/Wgt: 6-foot, 306-lb
Position: Defensive tackle
Fall Depth Chart Projection: 3rd Team defensive tackle
Spring Review: Epps recorded 2 tackles in 5 games last season before going down with a knee injury. That injury continued to limit him over the spring. He took part in most of the positional drills, but didn't go full tilt during contact drills on a daily basis and it wasn't until near the end that he started to look more comfortable out there.
Fall Projection: Physically he's kind of a mixed bag. He might be the most impressive defensive lineman on the team from a strength standpoint. He is incredibly thick across the arms and chest, but he's a bit on the short and stubby side. Mostly because of his strength, he'll see action in goal line and short yardage situations. Depending on the status of Brandon Antwine, Epps is either fifth or sixth among the interior defensive linemen.
