- Arizona State head women's golf coach Melissa Luellen after the Sun Devils won the NCAA title last week.



Championship season continues at the Creek and the Arizona State women's golf team added another national title to the conference's bin to go along with the NCAA title supplied by the USC men's tennis team while three Pac-10 teams compete in the NCAA Women's College World Series and three more will compete for the NCAA championship in baseball this week. In addition, seven Pac-10 teams will compete for the NCAA men's golf title.

Meanwhile, at NCAA HQ, California was unable to get past Duke in the NCAA women's tennis championship match.





California

In women's tennis, sophomore Mari Andersson and freshman Jana Juricova won the doubles title at the NCAA championship.



UCLA

In softball, the Bruins were upset by Missouri and eliminated from the NCAA tournament.



Stanford

In softball, the Cardinal were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by fellow conference member, Arizona.

In men's hoop, recruiting coordinator Mark Sembrowich has accepted the head coaching position at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.



Oregon

In football, quarterbacks Justin Roper and Chris Harper have both elected to transfer.



USC

In baseball, the Trojans lost to California to end their season at 13-14 in the Pac-10 and 28-28 overall.



Arizona State

In men's hoop, the Sun Devils received a verbal commitment from center Kyle Caudill.

In men's swimming, ASU hired Auburn swim coach Dorsey Tierney-Walker as head coach.



WSU

In baseball, Wazzu swept the rival Washington Huskies and will make their first appearance in the NCAA tournament in 19 years at the Norman Regional in Oklahoma in a rematch against Arkansas.

In football, linebacker Marshal Pirtz will transfer to Idaho and Wazzu received a verbal commitment from defensive back Matt Simmons.

In soccer, Wazzu received a 2010 verbal commitment from defender Amanda Heins from San Ramon, California.



Oregon State

In baseball, the Beavers advanced to the NCAA championship tournament where they will play Texas A&M in the TCU Regional in Fort Worth.



Washington

In softball, junior pitcher Danielle Lawrie was named as the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year.



Arizona

In softball, the Wildcats will open the World College Women's World Series against Florida.
