Olin Buchanan's Week 14 Heisman ballot

VOTE: Who is the front-runner for the Heisman?

It has been a tough week for Texas.

First, Oklahoma leaps over the Longhorns in the BCS standings and gets into the Big 12 Championship Game.

Then Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford has a strong performance in a 61-41 victory over Oklahoma State to put himself in great position to win the Heisman over Texas' Colt McCoy and Florida's Tim Tebow.

Bradford is second in the nation in passing efficiency, third in passing yards with 4,080 and first in touchdown passes with 46.

THE RIVALS VOTERS
We asked our seven Heisman voters how they would vote if their ballots were due today. Each first-place vote is worth three points, each second-place vote two points, each third-place vote one point.

The Heisman race remains close. If Bradford has a subpar effort against Missouri, McCoy - or perhaps Tebow - could overtake him in the last week before ballots are due Dec. 10.

Of course, the final game also provides a chance for Bradford to remove any doubt that he'll win the 74th Heisman Trophy. Bradford faced Missouri twice last season and passed for 475 yards and four touchdowns in leading the Sooners to wins in both games.

1. QB Sam Bradford, Oklahoma: The greatest factor in winning the Heisman is performance in big games. Against Texas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, Bradford combined for 1,061 passing yards and 13 touchdowns with only two interceptions. His 46 touchdown passes are the most this season.

2. QB Colt McCoy, Texas: A valid argument can be made that McCoy is more crucial to Texas' success than Bradford is to OU's and thus should win the Heisman. McCoy has passed for 3,445 yards with 32 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He's also rushed for 576 yards and 10 TDs.

3. QB Tim Tebow, Florida: Tebow's stats aren't as gaudy as last season's, but he still has thrown for 2,299 yards and 25 TDs (against two picks) and has rushed for 507 yards and 12 TDs. If he has a strong showing against a powerful Alabama defense in the SEC title game and Bradford has a subpar effort against Missouri in the Big 12 title game, Tebow could win another Heisman.

4. QB Graham Harrell, Texas Tech: A mediocre first half against Oklahoma knocked him out of serious contention, but he still leads the nation with 33.8 completions per game. He also has thrown for 4,747 yards and 41 touchdowns.

5. RB Shonn Greene, Iowa: He has the nation's highest rushing total with 1,729 yards and has scored 17 touchdowns. Greene exceeded 100 yards in every game this season.
