Best of Peach State Summer Showcase

MORE: Peach State Summer Showcase | Rivals.com Hoops Tour

The Peach State Summer Showcase was a terrific event for college coaches to take a good, long look at a number of prospects. Rivals.com was on hand for the first day of action and kept close watch on what was going on at USC Aiken throughout the week. Our own Justin Young takes note of the top players he saw from the event.

Peach State Summer Showcase Top Performers
Eric Bledsoe, PG, Birmingham Ice
All the four-star point guard did was help his team win the tournament (and the Battle at the Bluff, too). Point guards are oftentimes judged by victories and there isn't a point guard in the nation right now that can say they won two solid tournaments in a five-day stretch. Bledsoe can. And his teammates will probably say he had a lot to do with it. Bledsoe is the consummate point guard.
Ari Stewart, SF, Worldwide Renegades
On the first day of action at the Peach State, there wasn't a better-looking prospect in the gym than the super-athletic forward from Georgia. Stewart looked like he did last year at the Rbk U event, where he was outstanding, and his confidence seems to be at its highest all year. If he plays like he did on opening day in Aiken, S.C. in Las Vegas, he'll be a bigger winner than a middle-aged tourist at the blackjack table next week.
Richard Howell, PF, Worldwide Renegades
The 6-foot-7 big man has been one of the most consistent producers in the class of 2009 to date. No surprise here, he produced once again at the Peach State event. All Howell does is score between 12 to 17 points a game on a loaded roster, crash the boards and make better passes than most guards. If he can find a college with scorers around him, Howell's career should be equally productive.
Ian Miller, PG/SG, United Celtics
The class of 2010 guard has been playing well all year long so it came as no surprise that his name was one of the first out of the mouths of the numerous college coaches that made it out to the event this year. Miller showed his scoring side at the tournament but he's also a guy that should have zero problems running the point for a high-major school. Miller cemented himself in the minds of several high-level programs with his play.
Jarell Eddie, SF/PF, United Celtics
As Miller's running mate, Eddie was equally as impressive at the event. He's making a comfortable move to the wing from the post and the 6-foot-6 forward is playing like he's always been a guy that can score with the long ball as well as with the dribble to the hole. Eddie currently has 10 scholarship offers and is playing like a guy that is hoping to earn even more this summer.
Garrius Adams, SG, Garner Road Elite
Nearly every coach in the ACC and the SEC got to know the road from North Augusta to Aiken quite well in order to see the 6-foot-4 North Carolina native. Adams was clearly the must-see guy in the tournament for the high-majors. He did enough to pick up a handful of offers and his play was solid. Adams should be a nice program player at the high-major level.
Dee Giger, SF, Carolina Raptors
The 6-foot-6 point guard/shooting guard/wing was one of the biggest surprises that emerged out of Augusta events. He's a versatile and crafty player that gave defenders trouble with his play. He's too big for the point guards, too good of a shooter for the two guards and too good of a passer for defenders at the Peach State to match-up with. Looks like he's going to be a big-time player at a high academic school.
