Ginn going to the draft

As flashy as Ted Ginn Jr. has been on the field he didn't need any of that with a press conference to announce his intentions toward the NFL draft. In a statement released on Monday the junior wide out let everyone know that his days at Ohio State are done and that he will be heading to the NFL.

"I am excited to announce that I am making myself eligible for the National Football League draft," Ginn announced in a statement. "I thank Coach Tressel and all those involved within The Ohio State University football program for creating such a terrific environment for me to succeed both athletically and academically."

In 37 career games at Ohio State Ginn scored every way possible accounting for 15 receiving touchdowns, six punt return, two kickoff returns, three rushing and one passing.

Ginn's last play in a Buckeye uniform was a bittersweet one with Ginn scoring on the opening kickoff of the BCS championship game on a 93-yard kick-off return but getting injured during the post score celebration.

Running back Antonio Pittman will make his decision for the draft known today during a mid-day press conference with the deadline for underclassmen to declare passing on Monday.
