Bulldogs get much-needed help
J.D. Hamilton even more important when he opted to spend the next two years in Starkville. What made him decide to become a Bulldog? The Bulldogs had offensive lineman on the early list of priorities, but with only two commitments and signing day quickly approaching, prospects were beginning to run thin. That made today's announcement by Co-Lin All-American offensive tackle
"I am going to sign with Mississippi State," he said. "I decided today. I sat down and talked to my parents and I weighed out everything."
He had narrowed it to MSU and West Virginia before making a trip to Texas A&M last weekend. After looking at all three schools, he came up with his decision.
"I feel their program is on the rise and it is going to come up," he commented. "They want me to come in, in the summer, and they want me to start for them. They want me to play right tackle." He will enroll in June, and will joining former Natchez standout Anthony Strauder on the Bulldog offensive line.
"The biggest thing I can say about him is that he is a class guy and he has handled the recruiting process in that same kind of manner," Co-Lin coach Glenn Davis described his star athlete. "Anywhere he went to school he was going to make somebody happy because he was as good a kid as he was a player and that is what everybody is looking for now, just good guys that are good player too."
