Underclassmen Challenge: Ten with offers

MORE: Top 10 to watch without offers

More than 600 prospects nationwide in the classes of 2015 and 2016 already lay claim to Division I offers, and we're quickly heading toward double digits for the class of 2017. Many of the best will be in Dallas next weekend for the Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge presented by Under Armour. Here is a look at 10 from those classes whose recruitments are already well under way, listed alphabetically.

DL Byron Cowart, Seffner (Fla.) Armwood (2015)
Offers: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Missouri, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and UCF
Buzz: Cowart burst on the recruiting radar this spring after an impressive showing the RCS Orlando event. He earned defensive line MVP honors winning after dominating his one-on-one reps. Look for him to be the most physically impressive prospect in Dallas with his chiseled frame. He has great first step quickness and should give slower tackles fits at the Rivals250 Underclassman Challenge. Since his spring camp efforts he has picked up offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, and Vanderbilt to name a few.

DL Breiden Fehoko, Honolulu (Hawaii) Farrington (2015)
Offers: California, Clemson, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Texas Tech, Utah, Washington State, Wisconsin, Hawaii, San Diego State, Utah State, Weber State
Buzz: Fehoko already has the offer list of a top-flight prospect and his film suggests he has the motor to match. His pursuit of the football is relentless and he possesses fantastic speed for his size. He doesn't play against the country's best competition by any stretch and, more often than not, simply overpowers linemen, leading some to wonder how he'll do when matched up with like-bodied competition. There will be a lot of eyes on Fehoko when he shows up in Dallas, and he'll have every chance to prove he belongs among the top defensive linemen in his class.

WR DeSean Holmes, Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany (2015)
Offers: California, Nebraska, UCLA, USC, Utah, Washington and Houston
Buzz: The next big receiver prospect at Mission Hills, Alemany, following in the footsteps of USC signee Steven Mitchell, could be Holmes, who has looked spectacular at numerous 7on7 events this off-season. Holmes does not have great size but he's a game-breaker who can blow by any cornerback and he has excellent hands. He catches everything. Holmes is not overly physical and needs to add weight and muscle but that should come with time. With offers from UCLA, USC, Nebraska and others, Holmes has staked his claim as one of the top 2015 receivers in the West.

RB Kerryon Johnson, Madison (Ala.) Madison Academy (2015)
Offers: Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Vanderbilt
Buzz: Johnson is an intriguing and versatile prospect. Unfortunately, an injury kept him out of the RCS Birmingham stop, so we are looking forward to seeing him action. He is an excellent running back with the ability to play defensive back at the next level. Either way he is a natural playmaker and one of the top athletes in the Yellowhammer State for the Class of 2015. He reports several SEC offers and figures to be a national level recruit when he enters his junior season.

DL Adam McLean, North Potomac (Md.) Quince Orchard (2015)
Offers: Florida State, Iowa, Nebraska, N.C. State, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Akron and Old Dominion
Buzz: The 6-foot, 266-pound McLean is already very well known on the camp circuit and continues to perform very well at every one he attends. With eight offer from across the country from schools like Florida State, Iowa, Nebraska, N.C. State, Rutgers and others McLean is quickly becoming a high profile national recruit. Some of the best things these like about McLean are his explosiveness off the line, high motor and aggressive hand technique. Although he doesn't have great size, McLean is strong enough to make up for it.

LB Dylan Moses, Baton Rouge (La.) University Laboratory School (2017)
Offers: Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Texas and UCLA
Buzz: The story of Dylan Moses is now widely known. The eighth grader who received offers from LSU and Alabama a year before he ever set foot on a varsity field. At 6-foot-2, 223-pounds Moses has been a standout running back, linebacker, and even on the defensive line. He is a rare athlete to say the least. The speed, explosion, instinct, the whole ball of wax, he is a special athlete with potential at several different positions on the college level. Moses has been thrust into the spotlight early and he has embraced it, and he will enter the Underclassmen Challenge as one of the most highly anticipated participants.

OL Zach Rogers, Lewisville (Texas) Hebron (2015)
Offers: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech and UCLA
Buzz: Rogers returns to the Underclassmen Challenge for the second straight year and is now a veteran of the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge. Rogers is one of the more dominant, disciplined, and technically sound offensive linemen out there in the 2015 class. He is has already established himself as one of the top interior line prospects in the class and works those hands and feet with a combination of power and precision. He may be technical and disciplined but don't get it wrong he likes to get down and dirty in the trenches.

DB Deionte Thompson, Orange (Texas) West Orange-Stark (2015)
Committed to Alabama. Also had offers from Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah
Buzz: Thompson comes from a deep talent pool at West Orange-Stark and has quickly emerged as a natural in the defensive backfield. He does like to work at receiver but his ballhawking ability was what really shone bright as he earned district defensive newcomer of the year honors as a sophomore. He is still learning the finer points of the safety position but he is extremely athletic and instinctual. He is currently committed to Alabama but that has not kept other college programs from entering the picture with Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M all working hard to swing him there way.

OL Jerry Tillery, Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian (2015)
Committed to Notre Dame. Also had offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss, Stanford, Oregon State and San Diego State
Buzz: The first thing you are going to see in Jerry Tillery is that he is huge. He is just a massive human being. That's just the way it is. The second is that he can move really well. He gets those big feet moving and he also does a great job of shooting his hands and getting defenders off balance with his punch. Then there is his mean streak. He's a guy who plays with a level head, but he has that nastiness coaches love in the trenches. He enjoys mixing it up and putting his opponent on the ground.

TE Garrett Williams, Orlando (Fla.) First Academy (2015)
Offers: Arizona, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Ohio State, Rutgers, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Duke, Indiana and Akron
Buzz: Williams is a two-way standout at weakside defensive end and tight end. He flashes good pass rush ability from his line spot. We like his size and his non-stop motor. He will probably add weight without losing any speed or quickness. The First Academy product already holds double-digit offers. The only question now is where he will play when he gets to college.
