LANDOVER, Md. --One minute and 30 seconds isn't a very long time. The Kentucky Derby isn't even completed in that quick of a time.

But that's all it take for Virginia Tech to go from an impressive, come-from-behind win, to last-second victims.

Cincinnati senior wide receiver Damon Julian caught the game-winning touchdown pass from junior quarterback Munchie Legaux with 13 seconds left as the Bearcats got by the Hokies 27-24 at FedEx Field.

Just 1:30 earlier, junior quarterback Logan Thomas found senior wide receiver Corey Fuller for a 56-yard touchdown pass that put Virginia Tech up 24-20 with 1:49 left.

The game wasn't lost just on that final Cincinnati play. Though the Hokies finished with 402 yards of total offense, they were abysmal in the first half. With Thomas still struggling, they mustered just 72 total yards by halftime.

Virginia Tech's defense also let go in the second half. After allowing 165 yards to the Bearcats in the first half, they allowed a total of 495 yards for the game.

Legaux himself had a career-high 376 yards passing.

But the mistakes for the Hokies were all over. Missed opportunities, coupled with seven penalties for 82 yards offered no help. junior cornerback Antone Exum had four penalties himself, though junior Kyle Fuller was the one burned by Julian on the deciding play.

After the game, publisher Jason Stamm recapped the game on the field at FedEx Field.
