Media Days upon us
Ah, SEC Media Days.
In the minds of most, this week's annual pilgrimage to the spacious Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Ala., mark the unofficial kickoff to football season.
Talk about a crazy scene.
With the addition of Texas A&M and Missouri, this week's three-day event - which gets underway Tuesday with commissioner Mike Slive's annual State of the SEC address, promises to be the largest in the event's history.
So far, approximately 1,150 people have registered, including 33 radio stations which will be broadcasting live from Radio Row.
It promises to be quite the show.
On Tuesday, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Missouri and Vanderbilt take the stage.
Come Wednesday, buckle up your chin straps as six teams go before the media throng, a group that includes Florida, Mississippi State, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas and Kentucky.
Friday wraps up with defending national champ Alabama, Tennessee Ole Miss and Georgia.
Bulldog head coach Mark Richt will no doubt receive his share of hot-button questions.
Although he'll likely dodge any inquiries regarding any "hot seat" issues, the Bulldogs' recent line of off-field issues, including the recent dismissal of running back Isaiah Crowell, will likely be among the subjects broached.
