Wake Forest's C.J. Harris and Travis McKie Named All-ACC

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest's C.J. Harris and Travis McKie were named All-Atlantic Coast Conference, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association on Monday.

Harris, a junior guard, received third team honors, while McKie, a sophomore forward, was named honorable mention All-ACC. Harris received 57 votes, which was the second-most of the third team honorees. McKie received 26 votes.

Harris leads the team and ranks fourth in the ACC with 16.8 points per game. The Winston-Salem native has scored in double figures in 28 of 29 games this season, including 10 20-point performances on the year. He is also second on the Deacons with 2.5 assists per game.

Harris, who was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2009-10, leads the ACC in minutes played (35.1 mpg) and ranks second in free throw percentage (85.6 percent) and fifth in field goal percentage (47.9 percent).

Harris has made 51 of his past 52 free throw attempts and led the league in free throw percentage (94.7 percent) in conference games. Harris has made 25 straight free throws entering this week's ACC Tournament.

McKie is second on Wake Forest and sixth in the ACC in scoring with 15.9 points per game. He leads the Deacons and ranks 11th in the league with 6.9 rebounds per game. The Richmond, Va., native has posted five double-doubles on the year, which ranked third in the ACC during conference play.

McKie has scored in double figures in 26 of 30 games this, including 10 20-point performances. He has scored a career-high 25 points four times this season.

McKie, who was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2010-11, is second in the ACC in minutes played (34.5 mpg), sixth in field goal percentage (47.2 percent), ninth in defensive rebounds (4.6 rpg) and 10th in offensive rebounds (2.3 rpg).

McKie averaged 14.1 points and 7.9 rebounds during conference play, ranking in the top 12 in the league in both categories.

At least one Demon Deacon has earned All-ACC honors in 21 out of the last 23 seasons. This marks the third time in the past four seasons that Wake Forest has had multiple All-ACC picks.

ACSMA will announce the ACC Player, Rookie and Coach of the Year awards on Tuesday afternoon.

Wake Forest is seeded ninth in the upcoming ACC Tournament. The Deacons will open against eighth-seeded Maryland on Thursday at noon at Philips Arena in Atlanta.
