Find a way to score

The biggest reason for Wisconsin's success of late has been the play of its defense, and that is without question again the case this season. The Badgers come into tonight's game boasting the nation's No. 1 scoring defense, giving up an average of just 44.7 points per game. This is the last thing Nebraska wants to hear at this point, as the Huskers have scored over 70 points in just one of their past six games. With the health of junior center Jorge Brian Diaz and junior guard Dylan Talley still in doubt, NU is going to have to figure out a way to put the ball in the basket if it's going to have any chance at an upset.
Match up with Taylor

Senior point guard Bo Spencer will get his most difficult test to date and maybe even of the entire season when he matches up with Wisconsin's Jordan Taylor. Arguably the best defensive point guard in all of college basketball, Taylor will make Spencer work for every scoring opportunity he can get. For Nebraska to generate the offensive success it needs to compete against the Badgers' stingy defense, it's going to need a big night out of Spencer. If he can't get away from Taylor, though, the Huskers could be in trouble.
Take on the Big Ten

Nebraska has had Dec. 27 circled on its calendar ever since the 2011 Big Ten Conference schedules were released. Not only will the Huskers be facing the No. 13 team in the country, they'll be making their official debut as members of their new league. All the talk has been hw tough of a test the Big Ten would be for NU, and now it gets the chance to get its first look at what the future holds. The road won't get any easier for the Huskers from here, so obviously a good start could be a huge lift as they embark in their first season of Big Ten play.

Senior guard Brandon Richardson on Nebraska being considered underdogs against Wisconsin:

"We may be underdogs, but we aren't concerned about that. We are just going to go out there and compete and leave it on the floor. That's all we can do, we can't worry about what people are saying and whatever the case may be. We are going to go out there and give it our all and hopefully we come out with a win."
Head coach Doc Sadler on defense sparking NU's offensive improvements against Central Michigan:

"I don't think it has anything to do with the offense. I think it has everything to do with the defense. When you're aggressive defensively and getting after it, I think that was what we did."
