Extra Points: Cal

Berkeley, Calif.- Between the goal lines, the Trojan offense looked pretty close to flawless.

When USC dropped back to pass, Matt Barkley had time and his receivers always broke open. When USC handed the ball off, the holes opened wide for Allen Bradford and Joe McKnight.

But once USC got close to the end zone, the same offense that glided down the field like a gazelle, awkwardly limped towards field goals like a three-legged dog.

"I don't know what exactly was wrong. We got points on the board; that's what we're trying to do," Barkley said. "I'm bummed they weren't touchdowns, but I'm happy we got the field goals in."

Three USC drives stalled inside of the Cal 10-yard line, resulting in short Jordan Congdon field goals.
