Practice Insider: Flying under the radar

If you've listened closely to the names thrown around during the USC football season this far, you probably haven't heard "Kevin Thomas" all that often.

The Trojan cornerback hasn't made an interception, but he's also not made any major mistakes. And in that regard, it's a good thing people aren't talking about him much.

"That's a good thing," USC head coach Pete Carroll said. "There are plays to be made that can draw attention to you, picks and things like that. But, he's played very solid football."

Thomas said he doesn't mind flying under the radar outside of the Trojan circle.
