Georgia recruit hearing from Eagles

The prestige of a program is important to College Park (Ga.) Banneker wide receiver DeMarco McNeal but even more crucial in his decision-making process is looking at the depth charts and how early he can get on the field.

He expects more interest and offers to come during his senior season so McNeal, who caught 29 passes and had four scores in his sophomore year, is in no rush to make a decision.

At this point, Indiana is his top school but Kentucky, Clemson, Alabama and some other schools in the South are starting to get more involved. The Hoosiers' offense and scheme appeal to McNeal, who said he'd like to wait until close to National Signing Day before picking a school.

"Like the Indiana situation, I would go to Indiana instead of Georgia because Georgia, they just signed like four receivers and it doesn't make any sense if I go there and I'm not going to play," McNeal said.

"It doesn't matter if I'm close to home or not. College is college. It depends on the scheme that teams run. Indiana runs the spread so I'd like to get a chance to play up there. My senior season, I'm going to get a lot more offers, I'm just waiting on them. It's real hard sometimes because sometimes I want to commit to Indiana."
